CAN IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS?

I think we have just finished one of the BEST weekends of our life!!!  It was crazy, busy, but oh so wonderful.  The chaos began Friday at 5:00 P.M. when we got to the Port of Spain Stake Center for a Young Single Adult Conference and everything was a mess because air conditioning was being installed (thank goodness) and the the church simply was not clean.  YSA were going to begin arriving in an hour.  Well, LET THE SWEATING BEGIN!!!!  We began moving and mopping and scrubbing and organizing.  There was sweat dripping off of every body part and strand of hair.  we should have had a picture of that!  Ha!!!  To make a long story short, everything was set up and in its place as the first YSA arrived.  It was 2 days of workshops, firesides, games, food, dances, panels.  It was just plain FUN.  These kids here don't know how to date, so the entire conference was set up to teach them about dating.  This culture basically (to put it bluntly) goes from "hi" to sex.  It's an extremely immoral culture.  Anyway, enough said.  Here's some photos of that 2 day event.

                               Sunday, our day began at this Chapel in Sangre Grande at 9:00 a.m.

 We then accompanied Elders Grange and Dearing to visit a church member in this neighborhood who needed a blessing.

 After the blessing, we went with them to a neighborhood of a Young Woman in the ward who hasn't been coming because her mother has grounded her from church.

 After that, we visited the family of Mervin and Sherrie Ann Rochford.  They have 7 children, including 2 sets of twins.  They live in extremely humble circumstances.  Their kids are absolutely beautiful.

 We ended the day at the Elder's apartment where Sacrament meeting was held for 22 people in the neighborhood.  Some were members of our church and some were not.  We were asked to speak (at the last minute, of course)  We've got to get some spur of the minute talks all figured out.  This day was one of the highlights of our life.  Simply beautiful and beautifully simple.  We don't need things in our lives to make us happy, we need the Lord.  The end.
