PATHWAY TO BAPTISM

Each day is a day of decision.  Decisions determine our destiny.  We shouldn't demand things of ourselves that are unreasonable, but we should always look at improving our lives.  This week, one of our missionary companionships, Elders Dohrman and Smith, asked us to go and teach an investigator with them.  This investigator has trouble committing because of a fear of failing.   Although that fear is real,  fear just happens to be a tool that Satan uses to keep us from the truth.  By accepting the Lord's help, step by step,  decisions can be made that will draw us closer to Him.  Patience is a key to our success, for perfection will not come in this life, but in the next.  Will mistakes be made?  Plenty of them!!!  This is where repentance plays a significant role.  Let the Lord help in the journey.  He loves each individual and wants all to succeed.  The pathway to baptism for this sweet investigator is filled with light, truth and joy.  We made this illustration, specially for her, showing that the pathway is bright and attainable.

We decided to purchase a conch shell from this nice gentleman.  There were plenty to choose from....even a turtle shell.

We chose the perfect shell to keep in our apartment for our missionaries and friends to sign.

Took a little trip to a local center where handicapped folks were making baskets.  We purchased one and ordered more.

Tytan and his family came over to pay us a visit (and bring us yummy pumpkin bread.  Thanks guys!)  Tyt decided that the violin was very much like his grandpa's guitar.  Cute kid!

We spent an evening with the Cummings family in Happy Hill.  They picked a few mangos from their trees.

OK, this creature was in our apartment and gave us the heebie geebies.  We LOVE permethrine bug spray. (we spray it around our entrances) The minute he slithered over our doorway, he began writhing on the floor! Yeah!

P.S.  We began teaching reading classes this week.  So far, we have two students.  Being able to read will open doors in these individual's lives.  We are so happy to be participating in this program!
