AN UNFOLDING MIRACLE!!!

Forty years ago, there were 16,000 missionaries, today our church has 65,000 missionaries and another 20,000 waiting to go and 6,000 being processed.  What an amazing blessing for us to be part of this ballooning force.  Because of the growing pains at the MTC, we are faced with a new challenge.  We have been called and told that finding a teacher to help us learn the Portuguese language has been a problem.  We won't be starting our language training tomorrow, as thought, but have been told to come on Wednesday.  We will see what happens after that.  Also, we received a call from the church offices this past Thursday, April 4th, telling us that our mission needed to be postponed until  June because of visa issues.  After picking our hearts up off the floor, we asked the Elder on the other end of the phone if they could possibly find an assignment somewhere for us to serve.......it doesn't need to be medical.....we can serve anywhere, do anything.  The church called us back about an hour later, telling us that there was, perhaps, an opportunity in Orlando.  We haven't heard any more on the matter.
In the meantime, we have moved into dad's basement.  His generosity, love and commitment to us and our mission have been overwhelming to us.  He is such a blessing and example in our lives.  Selfless.  His thoughtfulness made leaving our home and community of Neola an easier process.  22 years in a community and love for the good folks there, binds one's heart to them in priceless and countless ways.  These people are the salt of the earth.  Love them!!  18 months is a short time.  We will be back before we know it, at which time these folks will say "are you back already....darn.....we thought we were rid of you!"  Ha!!!
In the meantime, we feel like we are in limbo, but we know The Lord is in charge and can see the big picture.  We will trust in Him.  Before Pres. LeBaron set us apart he said that he felt impressed to tell us that something was going to happen.  None of us know what that meant, but perhaps this "waiting" is part of that impression.
